Introduction
I have enjoyed many courses throughout my Masters of Arts in Education course with Michigan State University. This page gives me an opportunity to showcase some of the work completed under the headings Technology and Leadership, Special Education and Creativity within Teaching. These three topics represent my interests and is designed to provide a sense of how the work completed relates to my teaching, and ultimately broadens my horizons as an educator.

Technology and Leadership
This is a collection of subjects relative to the use of technology and Physical Education, ranging from assessment to digital portfolios as well as opinion pieces on how technology could (or should!) be used to benefit learning.
This blog offers information on a range of topics including digital portfolios, assessment and opinion pieces that aim to discuss how technology could (or should!) be implemented within Physical Education classes.

This is one example of an infographic I created to give teachers information on how video can be used in Physical Education. As well as giving us some interesting information and suggestions, this gave me an opportunity to experiment with the software Piktochart, which I highly recommend as a media text tool.

This project explores the use of Minecraft (a video game where you create virtual lands to explore) as an assessment tool. Do you think this is something that students would enjoy? With the massive uptake in young people using Minecraft for fun, it is something to consider. Take a look at how I got on experimenting with this software.

Finding a good classroom management system (CMS) is vital to teachers when implementing technology. Here you can find my analysis of CMS systems, and a further link to how I use Google Classroom and why I find this software particularly useful.

Special Education
This section offers a number of pieces of information to inform teachers on a variety of Special Educational Needs within schools today. This showcase also offers advice, strategies and practices that can be used to support the needs of students requiring additional assistance.
Occupational TherapyThe purpose of this page is to inform teachers about occupational therapy and increase their knowledge of occupational therapy to support students receiving expert treatment, but in addition to have more confidence to effectively collaborate with OT's to support the work that they do during sessions.
Assistive TechnologyAssistive technologies are items that make things easier for students with special educational needs. This can be from a standing table, to mobile devices. I describe how I use, and how I might use assistive technology within my class. In addition, a link at the bottom shares some additional information on assistive technologies and autism.

Second Language LearnersI plan to name 5 best practices that can be used to support second-language learners that center on increasing students confidence using English, promoting the use of high quality vocabulary, and supporting generalization of their language skills within Physical Education.

Emotional DisturbanceThis page is aimed at teachers to give them the key facts regarding emotional disturbance, along with a list of assistive technologies and resources that may useful when considering students with mental disorders.

Creativity
Creativity is an important, and sometime forgotten aspect of teaching. Please see the links below within the diagram that explores a selection of thinking tools as explained by Robert and Michele Root-Bernstein, in Sparks of Genius: The 13 Thinking Tools of the World’s Most Creative People and two additional pages "creative space" and "defining creativity". I found this book fascinating, and have attempted to reflect on the thinking tool and creativity, looking to implement these concepts within the topic of "Healthy Living"; a Health topic in Grade 9.
